This is a really neat lenticular advertising square for Alka Seltzer. Made by the preeminent maker of lenticulars, Vari-Vue back in the 1960s, it features Pron-Tito with his whole body moving - legs and arms and head and he winks at you, too! The glass appears with an Alka Seltzer tablet in it and bubbles and musical notes come out of the top of the glass!
This is a fantastic example of the Vari-Vue effects! In fact, it can be found in the Museum of American History (part of the Smithsonian Institution). Ours is an original - not a copy.
Some of us are old enough to remember "Speedy" singing "plop, plop, fizz, fizz - oh, what a relief it is."
On the back, it reads,
