Once you have seen artwork by Rembrandt, you'll agree that no other artist can compare with such a master. Many of his works can be found in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. When we walked through the museum we were overcome with all the famous paintings by masters from many centuries, but once we reached the Rembrandts, we were in awe and found it hard to believe.
Les Oiseaux de Paradis (Bird of Paradise), created around 1636-1638 appears modern and classic at once. But there is no doubt that it was created by a master, as we know Rembrandt (van Rijn) is.
Found today in the Le Louvre in Paris, it is considered Graphic Art, a genre that was not even defined when this pen and ink rendering was created so long ago.
