Small Vintage Wooden African American Head Bead - Collectible Black Americana

We know that these beads may be offensive to some. However, they are vintage and a product of their times. Many people collect Black Americana, so we'd like to offer these to those who do.

Never used, these old store stock beads were found in an old privately owned craft shop that closed many years ago. We just now found them in our many secret hiding places here at SilverCrow.

The beads hail from the 1960s and are in great condition, with just a bit of expected aging! Each bead has been hand tinted and then the eyes, eyebrows and mouth have been hand painted.

They measure 7/16 inch in diameter and larger stringing hole travels from the top of the head to the neck. All of the beads feature eyes that are looking upward and to the side as in the illustration.

These are quite rare and we don't have many. Each bead differs because of the hand painting. But they are all quite the same.
