For all of SilverCrow's ephemera fans, here's a unique item! This vintage label was meant to feature the name of the beer or wine in the blank space. Many wineries and brewers used the same labels for all the varieties of drink that they offered, and would imprint the final product name in the blank area. A recognizable label would ensure that the organization would be considered for not only one, but many of their products.
This label has never been used and is marked on the lower right corner:
G. J. 14399
This might have something to do with the factory, or maybe it is a generic label. We cannot be sure. We can be sure that it will be fun to use for a special project - on the front of a journal or scrapbook. Or, maybe you even make your own wine or beer and want to create a special label.
The label measures approximately 5-1/8 inches wide by 3-1/2 inches high and is framed with a gold metallic border stripe.
