Step back in time to the golden age of river travel with this vibrant, original antique postcard featuring the Excursion Steamer "Washington" docked on the Mississippi River in Quincy, Illinois. This postcard is new and unused.

Published by Chas. E. Wetzel, this card was printed by the Curt Teich & Co. of Chicago as part of their "C.T. American Art Colored" series from the early 1920s.

The front showcases a vibrant, color-tinted photograph of the grand multi-decked steamboat against the shore. Patrons, on foot and bicycle, are shown approaching her while 5 American flags flap in the wind.

There is no writing on the back, as this is a new, old stock postcard. It is divided into two sections, featuring the classic "Place One Cent Stamp Here" box on the right.
